Who has sailed with Regent Seven Seas?
I have been researching them lately and I am trying to find out exactly what is and isn’t included. I am not ready to speak with an agent yet, I am still researching. I would like to hear from someone who has been on one and can tell me what all was inclusive. I don’t need to hear about other cruise lines, I have already traveled with several of the basic commercial lines. This luxury cruise is all-inclusive so I know it is different than Carnival, Princess, etc… thanks =)
I have sailed with RSS through the Tahitian Islands, on board the M.S. Paul Gauguin.
Everything was included, except shore excursions, and shopping. There was no gambling in French Waters.
When you get to your room, a list is brought around of bar beverages you would like stocked in your fridge. We each chose a bottle of rum. When they brought around the bottles they were 2-40 oz’ers. On top of that they were always bringing around trays of drinks. We didn’t have to pay for even 1 drink. Soda, and everything is included.
The food was fabulous, and the room service menu was to die for. We had a balcony suite, and had alot of our meals outside. The butler would come and put out the linen table cloth and serve us out there.
You didn’t have to pay for any of the restaraunts. Lobster was not extra, and if I remember correctly was on the menu nightly.
Absolutely no tipping. The staff were not allowed to take tips.
My only problem was the type of person this kind of cruise attracted. You’re likely to see alot of face lifts, alot of men with wife’s that are their younger trophy wife’s. I actually wondered if some of them were with their Dad’s or even Grandpa’s, I found alot of them snobby, and they treated the staff horribly. You can have money and still be a decent person afterall.
Also we had a tour cancelled due to lack of interest. It was to a beautiful beach to snorkel etc. My guess is the women didn’t want their tons of makeup to come off.
All in all, it was a fabulous experience.
